The keypad becomes part of the room

See the Lux styles, finishes and button choices clearly—then decide what should happen from each wall.

Start with the room, not the wiring. Choose the finish you want to see and the everyday actions you want on the buttons. Denali Tech can then match the correct Lux device and wiring plan to that location.

See Lux at the wall

These closer, real-room views help a client judge the finish, scale and nighttime readability before choosing a layout.

Understand the Lux family

The front can look beautifully consistent while the device behind it performs a different job. These are the four useful categories to understand.

01

Configurable keypad

Dedicated buttons for scenes and whole-home actions such as Welcome, Away, Music or Goodnight.

02

Keypad dimmer

Controls the light connected at that wall and adds buttons for scenes or other rooms.

03

Keypad switch

Provides local on/off control plus configurable buttons for additional actions.

04

Wired keypad

A dedicated control point for projects planned around prewire or centralized lighting.

Why this matters: two Lux keypads may look almost identical from the front but serve different purposes. Final device selection comes after the room and electrical plan are reviewed.

Wired or wireless?

Both can deliver the same calm, coordinated appearance. The right path usually depends on whether the walls are open and how the lighting system is designed.

New build or remodel

Wired Lux keypad

Best considered while the wiring and lighting-panel plan can still be coordinated.

  • Clean dedicated control locations
  • Works naturally with centralized lighting plans
  • Button functions can be planned room by room
Finished home

Wireless Lux device

A practical way to bring the Lux look into an existing home without redesigning every wall.

  • Useful for upgrades and renovations
  • Can replace selected existing controls
  • Device type is matched to the load and location

Choose a button layout that stays simple

Lux Wired Keypads support many configurations—up to 34 button arrangements according to Control4. These five patterns make the design conversation easy.

See the finish before you choose

The keypad should relate to the paint, stone, cabinetry and nearby metal hardware. Compare samples in the actual room whenever possible.

Plan the labels around real routines

Short, familiar labels are easier to understand than technical circuit names. A visitor should be able to use the room without an explanation.

Welcome · Away

Set the whole home as you arrive or leave.

Four decisions before ordering

A short design review prevents mismatched finishes, crowded buttons and controls that do not fit the wiring.
